These movement classes incorporate rhythmic, flowing, and undulating sequences that encompass moving between sitting, lying down, and standing. The GYROKINESIS® method offers similar benefits derived from movements found in swimming, yoga, Qi Gong, and ballet, with an emphasis on rotational movement accessing all the planes of the body: forward and backward (sagittal), lateral concavity and convexity (vertical), and twisting (horizontal). There is an emphasis on bringing all three planes into harmony to access three-dimensional movement in one’s posture and gestures.
The general public, pro-athletes, dancers, or clients recuperating from injury find this methodology of movement beneficial in awakening the senses and harmonizing the entire body system through stimulation of the internal organs and utilization of conscious breath patterns. Through repetition, resistance, and intention, a GYROKINESIS® class can be modified to an individual’s request for more or less intensity within the sequences.

Classes are adapted to fit each student’s needs and abilities from those recovering from injury, or living with a disability, to elite athletes.
