Embodied Movement Playground

The Embodied Movement Playground class will facilitate moments of grounding, flow, ease, strength, and play incorporating Yoga, Body-Mind Centering®, Laban/Bartenieff Fundamentals, and free-form movement.

Instructor Natasha Martina will have the participant start on the floor with gentle exercises to help mobilize the bones, joints, ligaments, and muscles, while helping to support blood flow and nourishing the body’s fluids. The middle portion of the class will move to standing incorporating more cardiovascular activity through free-flow movement and standing postures. The end of the class will end back on the floor, finding the support of gravity through exercises that incorporate strength and flexibility. The final moments will be spent in a state of meditation - inner reflection.

The class is suited to all levels of fitness and is open to all age groups in the Vancouver area.

What to Bring:

Bring your own mat and water, and wear comfortable clothing that you can move in.
